Two Northern Bears named to Team Sask. for NAHC

A pair of Mann-Northway Northern Bears will be heading to B.C. this spring to represent Team Saskatchewan at the 2025 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC).

Rookie-forward Olivia Trann and goaltender Nikita Krayetski were two of 20 players selected to the team that will compete for national gold in May.

Trann, who’s in her first full season with the club, currently sits tied for 20th among rookie scorers this season with three goals and two assists for five points in 20 games. She’s also among the least penalized players in the league, only having two penalty minutes.

Meanwhile, Krayetski is in her second season with the Northern Bears, donning a 1-7 (W-L) record with a 2.82 GAA and .911 SV%. Over her career, she sits with a 5-14 record to go along with a 3.90 GAA and .881 SV%. Additionally, the 2025 installment of the NAHC will be her third time at the championships as she’s also competed in 2023 and 2024.

The 2025 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships are set to be played from May 5-10 in Kamloops.
